Terms and Conditions of Classes

Food and Drink

Food and drink are allowed in most of our venues; however, at Vikings Play Centre, you must only consume food bought at the venue due to their allergen policy. We would ask that, where possible, food not be consumed during a class session, as this can be distracting for all children. We know that babies can need to feed and sleep at any moment, so please continue to feed (breastfed or bottle) and comfort them as necessary.

Can’t Attend a Session?

At Story Sense, a 6-week block is allocated and paid for each child, and it is non-refundable (see the cancellation policy below). If you are unable to make a session due to illness or holiday, please inform your class leader as soon as possible. You can pass your space to a friend this week. When contacting your leader, please inform them who will be taking your space. If you are unable to fill the space, the class is not refunded or credited.

Illness

Please DO NOT bring your child/ren to the Story Sense classes if they or you have any of the following symptoms, are ill or have serious infections which are contagious (the most common being D&V, Chicken pox, Scarlet fever, conjunctivitis, etc.).

A high temperature
A new, continuous cough
A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste

Please DO NOT attend classes if:

You or your child has tested positive for coronavirus
You live with someone who has tested positive within the last 5 days

If you have attended a class in the previous week and you or your child has developed a serious illness, please advise the class leader so I can inform the rest of the group. If you or your child has had sickness or diarrhoea, please ensure they are 48 hours clear before attending the next session.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation of Classes by the Customer

If you wish to cancel your space, you are entitled to a full refund if you inform us in writing at least 5 days before the start of the term. If you cancel in writing within the 5 days prior to the term starting, you will be entitled to a 50% refund. Once the term has started, no refunds will be given.

Cancellation of Classes by Story Sense

Classes will run in all circumstances unless beyond our control, including but not limited to fire, floods, pandemics, and epidemics. In these circumstances, refunds will not be given. In the event of further lockdown, classes will move online for the remainder of the term.

If the class leader is unable to run a class due to illness, we will aim to arrange a replacement session where possible. If a replacement session cannot be arranged, you will receive either a credit for the missed session, valid for 6 months, or a refund for that session.
