I'm Nikita, Founder of Story Sense
As an experienced Primary School Teacher for 8 years, I know the importance of children finding a love of stories and books from a young age. As a mum of 2, I have watched both my children spend hours with books since they were just months old and now they retell and make up their own with confidence and creativity.

I am an expert in linking stories with sensory play and support other families to introduce stories into their every day activities. After a recent Free Story Play Challenge I ran on social media, one parent said:

"Thank you so much! We've had a great few days and have definitely been inspired to continue linking books into play! Not only did my little boy take himself off to look at books on Sunday but last night he chose a book to take to bed (no matter how much I've tried he's been off books for months...until now!) Sarah

I love to learn...
I love to extend my knowledge and can never stop learning. I also have qualifications and certificates in working with children with Autism and Using play to support development, along with all the others listed above!
I am passionate about support parents to feel empowered about their choices and this is why I have put time and money into ensure I am trained to a high standard, allowing me to support in all aspects of parenting. From this passion grew my online membership program of Mumma & Me by Story Sense where you will find a whole range of resources to support you on your parenting journey with your baby and toddler. If you haven't already, check it out and find the support you never knew you needed.
My true passion...
...lies in where my business started in 2017; writing my own stories to make our sensory classes truly unique. Every class is thought out with precision and age appropriate developmental skills in mind to create fun, engaging, supportive and informative classes for both babies, toddlers and their grown ups. Our classes have been nominated 3 years running for a Whats on 4 kids award and in 2020 I made it to the finals as the most loved activity leader in the South West of England.
