Here at Story Sense, we know your privacy is very important and we will ensure that all your data you provide is kept safe and secure. The laws have recently changed and we want to make sure we are as transparent as possible.
Why we need certain information from you and how we use it.
When you sign up for the Story Sense classes, there is certain information we will require from you for you to be able to take part in the classes.
We need information about you and your child for the following reasons:
To provide the Story Sense classes and ensure you are in the right class for you and your little one
To communicate with you about the classes
To inform you of changes to any terms and conditions.
To meet the aims of the class and ensure that your expectations are met we will use your information to:
- Keep a class register and contact details for any emergency situations.
- To respond to any comments, questions or complaints you may send us.
- Taking videos or photos as promotional material to use on our website, social media accounts and any communications ( you will opt-in or opt-out of this on your registration form at the first session).
You have the right to object to any of the above statements about the use of your data. You can do this by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org
With your permission given on your registration form, we may send you information regarding activities, products and news which we feel would be relevant to you. You can ask us to stop sending you this information at anytime by emailing us at email@example.com
When we would share your information
Story Sense will never share any of your information unless it is in an emergency situation where you or your child are at risk.
You have the right to see the information we hold for you at any time. If any of the information held is inaccurate, you may have this corrected. If you leave the Story Sense classes, you can request to have your details removed.
