Terms and Conditions of classes

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully.

 

Food and drink

Food and drink is allowed in our venues. We would ask that food is not consumed during a class session as this can be distracting for all children. We know that babies can need to feed and sleep at any moment so please continue to feed (breastfed or bottle) and comfort them as necessary.

 

 

Can't attend a session?

At Story Sense, a block of 6 weeks is allocated and paid for each child and this is non-refundable (see cancellation policy below). If you are unable to make a session due to illness or holiday, please inform your class leader as soon as possible. You are able to pass your space to a friend for this week. When contacting your leader, please inform them who will be taking your space.  

 

 

Illness

Please DO NOT bring your child/ren to the Story Sense classes if they or you have any of the following symptoms, are ill or have serious infections which are contagious.

 

  • A high temperature

  • A new, continuous cough

  • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste

 

Please DO NOT attend classes if

  • you've tested positive for coronavirus

  • you live with someone who has symptoms or has tested positive

  • You have been near someone who has tested positive in the last 10 days.

 

If you have attended a class in the previous week and you or your child has developed a serious illness, please advise me of this so I can inform all others in the group. If you or your child have had sickness or diarrhoea, please ensure they are 48 hours clear before attending the next session.

 

 

Social Distancing

Whilst we no longer need to socially distance, we have kept our class numbers low to ensure there is still plenty of space for you to spread out. Please be mindful of others in class and keep your distance as much as possible. Babies and toddlers are now able to come together to share resources and interact.

 

 

Face Masks

You are no longer required to wear a face mask but you are more than welcome to if you would prefer. Your class leader will continue to wear a face shield throughout the sessions.

 

Arrival at the venue

Before entering, please use the hand sanitizer provided.

 

Leaving the venue

Please use the hand sanitizer provided on the way out of the building.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation of classes by the customer

If you wish to cancel your space, you are entitled to a full refund if you have informed us in writing up to 5 days before the start of the term.  Any cancellations in writing within the 5 days prior to the term starting you will be entitled to 50% refund. Once the term has started, no refunds will be given.

Cancellation of classes by Story Sense

Classes will run in all circumstances unless out of our control including, but not limited to, fire, floods, pandemics, epidemics. In these circumstances, refunds will not be given. In the event of further lockdown, classes will move online for the remainder of the term.

 

If the class leader is unable to run the class due to illness, another class will be arranged where possible. If this is not possible, you will receive a full refund for that session.

Privacy Policy

Here at Story Sense, we know your privacy is very important and we will ensure that all your data you provide is kept safe and secure. The laws have recently changed and we want to make sure we are as transparent as possible.

 

Why we need certain information from you and how we use it.

When you sign up for the Story Sense classes, there is certain information we will require from you for you to be able to take part in the classes.

We need information about you and your child for the following reasons:

 

  • To provide the Story Sense classes and ensure you are in the right class for you and your little one

  • To communicate with you about the classes

  • To inform you of changes to any terms and conditions.

 

 

To meet the aims of the class and ensure that your expectations are met we will use your information to:

- Keep a class register and contact details for any emergency situations.

- To respond to any comments, questions or complaints you may send us.

- Taking videos or photos as promotional material to use on our website, social media accounts and any communications ( you will opt-in or opt-out of this on your registration form at the first session).

 

You have the right to object to any of the above statements about the use of your data. You can do this by emailing us at nikita@storysense.co.uk

 

Marketing

With your permission given on your registration form, we may send you information regarding activities, products and news which we feel would be relevant to you. You can ask us to stop sending you this information at anytime by emailing us at nikita@storysense.co.uk

 

When we would share your information

Story Sense will never share any of your information unless it is in an emergency situation where you or your child are at risk.

 

Individual Rights

You have the right to see the information we hold for you at any time. If any of the information held is inaccurate, you may have this corrected. If you leave the Story Sense classes, you can request to have your details removed.
