Terms & Conditions

Including Covid Updates

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. This is the latest COVID-19 addendum which is regularly updated to follow Government Guidance.

Food and drink

Food and drink is NOT ALLOWED inside the main hall area. We would ask that food is not consumed during a class session as per government guidelines. This will help to prevent the spread of bacteria. However, we also know that babies can need to feed and sleep at any moment so please continue to feed (breastfed or bottle) and comfort them as necessary.

Can't attend a session?

At Story Sense, a block of 6 weeks is allocated and paid for each child and this is nonrefundable. Where we have previously allowed your space to be given to a friend, but due to retaining the 'bubbles' of classes, this option is not available at present.

Illness

Please DO NOT bring your child/ren to the Story Sense classes if they or you have any of the following symptoms, are ill or have serious infections which are contagious.

  • A high temperature

  • A new, continuous cough

  • A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste

Please DO NOT attend classes if:

  • you've tested positive for coronavirus – this means you have coronavirus

  • you live with someone who has symptoms or has tested positive

  • someone in your support bubble has symptoms or has tested positive

If you have attended a class in the previous week and you or your child has developed a serious illness, please advise me of this so I can inform all others in the group. If you or your child have had sickness or diarrhoea, please ensure they are 48 hours clear before attending the next session.

Health Declarations

Prior to attending classes every week, please take your temperature and fill in the online health declaration form. The link to this will be emailed to you on the morning of your class. If this is not completed prior to attending class, you may be refused entry. If you or your little one are displaying any symptoms, please DO NOT come to classes. In the case of you not attending, please notify me as soon as possible. Please note, there are no refunds for illness.

Social Distancing

t is important to follow Government guidelines with social distancing and our classes will be set out to adhere to current guidelines. It is your responsibility to ensure both yourself and your little one are socially distanced by 2m from all other group members at all times.

Face Masks

The most up to date Government guidance is that all adults should wear face masks inside. Please ensure that you bring your face mask with you to class and that you are wearing it upon entering and for the duration of the class. Although this is not ideal, these are measures we must follow to protect each other. Your babies and toddlers are not required to wear one.

Personal Belongings Please ensure you are only bringing the essentials with you. Where possible, please do not bring pushchairs or car seats into the venue. There is not enough capacity in the main hall for this and we do not have a buggy park.

Arrival at the venue

As per the new government guidelines, all attendees must wear face coverings when inside.

Please remember to bring a face covering with you and to put it on before entering the hall.

Before entering, please use the hand sanitizer provided.

Look out for the signs which demonstrate a one way system that is in place.

When entering the hall, please find a set of mats available.

Once sitting on the mats, please remain there as much as possible to keep to social distancing.

Leaving the venue

Please ensure to keep to social distancing whilst following the one way system out.

Please use the hand sanitizer provided on the way out of the building.

Cancellation of classes

Classes will run in all circumstances unless out of our control including, but not limited to, fire, floods, pandemics, epidemics. In these circumstances, refunds will not be given. In the event of further lockdown, classes will move online for the remainder of the term. If the class leader is unable to run the class due to illness, another class will be arranged where possible. If this is not possible, you will receive a full refund for that session.
